Established in 2017 by Paul and Michael Carroll, Aspire Pool Solar Heating was created to address a clear gap in the Australian market—at the time, rigid one-piece solar panels were imported and not designed for Australia’s harsh environmental conditions.

Determined to deliver a more durable and practical solution, Aspire designs and manufactures modular rigid solar panels locally, engineered to resist hail impact, cockatoo damage, and the common leak points that affect traditional systems.

Our patented tube-to-manifold bonding process, combined with triple-seal male and female connections secured by camlock technology, enhances structural integrity while ensuring long-term watertight performance.

Sustainability underpins our operations. Our manufacturing facility operates with a 180kW on-site solar system, generating approximately 80% of annual electricity usage, and all panels and components are fully recyclable at end of life.

How does solar pool heating work?

Our rigid solar panels absorb heat from the sun’s UV rays, even on cooler days. A controller monitors roof and pool temperatures, activating a low-energy pump when conditions are right. Warm water is circulated back into your pool automatically, providing a simple and cost-effective way to extend your swimming season.

Panels are ideally installed on north-facing roof areas to maximise solar exposure, with northeast and northwest orientations also providing strong performance. Where roof space is limited, systems can be mounted on purpose-built platforms or concrete pads, offering flexibility to suit different property layouts. This adaptable installation approach ensures efficient heating performance across a wide range of residential settings.

 Solar coverage is typically calculated based on your pool’s surface area. Most pools achieve optimal performance with coverage around 100%, while increasing coverage to 120–150% can further extend the swimming season and improve temperature recovery. Aspire evaluates each pool individually to recommend a tailored system configuration that delivers the most efficient and consistent heating results.
